UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany

The next uefa euro 2024 is scheduled to take place in Germany from 14 June to 14 July. It will be the first European Championship to be held in Germany since reunification. A total of 10 stadiums will be used, including the homes of Bundesliga clubs Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, VfB Stuttgart, Eintracht Frankfurt, and RB Leipzig. The final will be held at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.

The tournament is expected to be more sustainable than previous editions. The organizers have implemented measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, such as using electricity from renewable sources and increasing energy efficiency at the venues. They also plan to recycle as much waste as possible. Moreover, they have set ambitious targets for water and carbon emissions reductions. In addition, they will promote best practices to support sustainable development in football.

In a move to improve transparency and accountability, UEFA has introduced a new tool for club-level sustainability reporting. It’s designed to help clubs measure and manage their carbon footprint, and is intended to supplement existing data collection systems. The tool is a welcome step in the right direction, but it does not go far enough to address some of the key challenges facing the sport.

As the official telecommunications partner for UEFA’s Euro 2024 tournament, Telekom has acquired media rights to all 51 matches. The company will broadcast all games on its MagentaTV, as well as a separate studio with RTL. It is a big deal for the German broadcaster, which had previously sub-licensed 34 matches to ARD and ZDF.

The tournament’s official e-mobility partner is Chinese manufacturer BYD, which will showcase a range of new energy vehicles. The agreement is the first of its kind for a NEV manufacturer in Europe’s top-level sports competition. The partnership will be visible in the stadiums, fan zones, and the UEFA headquarters. It will also be available to the general public through digital channels. The companies will also cooperate on a range of research projects and initiatives. The partnership will run until 2027.
